We take an early first look at Chicory gameplay to celebrate the already successful Kickstarter in this demo of the start of the game, due to come out sometime in 2021 and by creators of Wandersong and Celeste.
See how you play a dog (originally known as Drawdog) who takes up a magic brush after the owner goes missing and ther entire world loses it colour. You are let loose in an RPG world full of caves, lost kids, litter and puzzles to solve, as well as surprising bosses. All the while you can paint whatever you want, whatever colour you want! It's LOVELY. Apart from the absolutely horrifying deadly evil boss, obvs.

The Brush is a one-of-a-kind artifact that can color the world. Naturally, it needs a wielder, a master artist responsible for all colors and for passing the brush down. The current wielder, Chicory, is immensely talented and beloved by all... until all the color in the land vanishes, and her with it! I guess that leaves it up to you, her number one fan, to take up the brush and fill in for her. Hmm... good luck!"
